Oven not working? These are the faults Andrew fixes
Most oven faults come down to a worn heating element, a failed thermostat, a dead fan motor or a wiring fault — all repairable, and usually the same day. If your electric oven has stopped working, tell Andrew what it's doing and he'll know what to bring.
Oven not heating up — the most common fault, usually a blown bake or grill element. Element replacement is a common same-day job.
Oven not reaching temperature or slow to heat up — often a tired element or a thermostat that's lost its calibration.
Oven won't turn on / no power — a failed switch, connection or wiring fault. Andrew is a licensed electrician (EC9715), so the power side is covered.
Electric oven stopped working mid-cook — could be the element, thermostat or a safety cut-out. Andrew diagnoses it on the spot.
Grill or fan not working — fan-forced element or fan motor, carried on the van for most brands.
Not worth repairing? — if the oven's on its last legs, Andrew will tell you straight and can install a replacement.
